Cowichan Sound & Cellular – Celebrating over 20 years serving the Cowichan Region!

Cowichan Sound & Cellular’s history began in February, 1993 when Corinne de Lange bought the business. At that time it was just a little shop on the corner of Trunk and Duncan Street in Duncan. Paging was popular, analog phones were big, heavy as bricks, had very short battery life and almost required a mortgage to afford one.

From this single store, changes came fast and furious under Corinne’s care as the mobile telecommunications business rapidly expanded. B.C. Cellular became BC Tel Mobility and then Telus. Technology improved as consumers demanded better, smaller, affordable, feature packed phones. Analog service was replaced by digital; new, more capable devices entered the market to help businesses grow. The last few years have seen data leap to the forefront of mobile needs. The cell phone has become the device that provides safety and peace of mind to parents, a social necessity for teens and an invaluable tool for business people.

Corinne de Lange has grown her business from two employees and one small store to 17 + employees and three locations serving the Cowichan Valley. A dedicated, mobile sales force serves businesses from Victoria to Campbell River. Her motto is ‘if your business is too busy to come to us, we will come to you.’ Success can be attributed to Corinne’s strong belief in providing excellent customer service. As a result, Cowichan Sound & Cellular is one of few Telus Mobility Dealers’ who host regular cellular clinics teaching clients how to get the most from their wireless device.

Recognizing that a business is only as good as it’s employees, Corinne ensures her Wireless Consultants are highly trained and ready to serve you. She invites you to visit a Cowichan Sound & Cellular location to experience a hands-on demonstration of how wireless products can help you get more out of life.
